Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) sent a letter to Defense Appropriations Subcommittee Chairman Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) and Ranking Member Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), urging them to prohibit the transfer of more than 24 AH-64 Apache helicopters from the Army National Guard in Raleigh.

Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) announced Monday he plans to reappoint Sen. Jerry Tillman (R-Randolph) and Sen. Dan Soucek (R-Watauga) as co-chairmen of the Senate Committee on Education/Higher Education when the legislature convenes early next year.
